Nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Little Red Wasp offers an elevated American dining experience that masterfully combines the soul of a neighborhood hangout with the sophistication of a cocktail bar. This dynamic spot seamlessly blends hearty comfort food with innovative twists, serving up a diverse menu that delights both brunch enthusiasts and burger lovers alike.
The culinary lineup here reads like a love letter to local Texas ingredients and bold flavors. Signature dishes such as the rich and tender Brisket Potstickers reveal the kitchen’s talent for marrying smoky, meaty depth with crispy, delicate wrappers. The Deviled Eggs arrive bursting with creamy, tangy richness—each bite an explosion of textures and flavors that tease the palate. For those craving classics executed with finesse, the Cheeseburger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich deliver juicy, deeply satisfying moments of indulgence, perfectly complemented by their golden, crunchy exteriors.
Weekend brunch takes center stage with offerings that perfectly balance homey comfort and elevated taste. The Deep Fried French Toast offers a decadently crisp crust that gives way to soft, custardy interior layers, while the Chicken Biscuit combines flaky pastry with savory, succulent chicken—a true Southern delight. Seafood lovers can savor the crispy yet tender Halibut Fish and Chips or the creamy, soul-warming Shrimp Grits, each dish bursting with robust flavors and textures that showcase the chef’s finesse.
The appealing sides menu keeps the local focus strong, featuring seasonal items like Brussels Sprouts and Corn Succotash, each prepared to highlight the freshest produce. Accompanying these dishes is a thoughtfully curated wine list that spans vibrant whites from regions like Marlborough, New Zealand and Ria Baixas, Spain, and features refreshing rosés and crisp Sauvignon Blancs—perfect companions to the eclectic menu.
Stepping into Little Red Wasp, guests are immediately embraced by the warm, inviting atmosphere of exposed brick walls and high ceilings, creating a chic yet comfortable vibe. The mix of intimate booths and communal tables invites conversation and celebration, whether you’re gathering with friends for brunch or winding down with expertly crafted cocktails in the evening.
Real guest experiences further enrich the allure of this gem. One patron was particularly impressed by the attentive service when their initial dish failed to meet expectations; the manager personally stepped in to ensure a memorable meal by offering a sumptuous alternative of meatballs over polenta, turning a potential disappointment into an exceptional dining moment. Others have raved about the vibrant brunch cocktails, praising the refreshing Gin & Tonic and the bright, fruity mimosas featuring both orange and pineapple juices.
The blend of Texas pride shines through not only in the food but also in the locally sourced salsas, pickles, condiments, and Texas spirits available behind the bar, creating an authentic taste of the region that feels both familiar and exciting. Whether you’re stopping by for a laid-back lunch, a weekend brunch with friends, or an evening of craft cocktails paired with comforting American fare, Little Red Wasp stands out as a versatile and inviting culinary destination in Fort Worth’s bustling dining scene.
Cocktails were excellent. Ordered fish and chips.... had it been prepared right it probably would have been excellent.... so burnt and greasy I could only choke 1 piece down... ***Update*** Manager came over and apologized, agreed that it not edible. Because I was on a time crunch he served me some meatballs over Polenta and it was absolutely awesome.
We enjoyed our Brunch at Little Red Wasp!! I love that they have many, many Texas products that they use from salsa, pickles, & condiments, to local meat & produce. They also offer a great selection of Texas spirits, wine & Texas beer!! We started with brunch cocktails of Gin & Tonic and mimosas with both orange & pineapple juices. Then we had the Brisket Potstickers for an appetizer & they were delicious!! I can also recommend the deviled eggs as we have had them before!! For our entrees - we ordered the Breakfast Burger (served with house made chips) and Avacado Toast with Sunny Side Up Eggs. Everything was amazing!! We had no room for dessert but I'm sure anything you choose would be great as well!! Everything from atmosphere, service, & food were fantastic!! We will definitely return anytime we are in Downtown Fort Worth!!
Great vibe! Did not get stung at all. Highly recommend. Avocado Sandwich was amazing. Deviled eggs were overflowing with scrumptious taste that exploded the taste buds!
Will return for good service and foood. High ceiling, brick walls, booths and tables. They were willing to change one tv to French Open tennis - thank you very much. The only down side is - two tv monitors are bid small but again, this isn’t a sports bar and my aging eyes are on the decline. We've Kale salad and Ruben - both are good. Getting there at the tight time, it was only half full. By the time we almost done, it became full: the convention attendees are pouring in for their lunch. We would sit a little longer to watch Joao Fonesca's defeat of Pierre-Hugues Herbert, but when the girl came by, asking if we need anything, we asked for the bill. She said ok and then proceeded to take the cream and sugar away. The manager (?) told her not to do it quietly and she put them back - I appreciated this kind gesture - thank you.
I wouldn’t say there was anything too unique or special about this place, but it was definitely really good! We enjoyed our brunch here! I recommend the bread platter with the various dips. Brunch was delicious. We also tried the mimosa flight and we loved the flavor options. Being in downtown Fort Worth, it was definitely a bit of a hassle, and there are other places that I like equal or better that don’t require the hassle, but it was definitely delicious and worth stopping in!
This is a good place for a quick bite. There were lots of businessmen, prob work within walking distance, and the food was pretty legit. Disfruten/enjoy!
Decent restaurant in downtown Fort Worth. Was recommended via reddit so I had high expectations but the food was very fine for the price. Everything was delicious but not outstanding. We ordered the LRW brunch, the chicken sandwich, and the burger. The chicken sandwich was very good and so was the burger. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
This place is awesome for apps. Had the homemade chips and dip and it was fantastic! The pimento cheese and ranch dip is great. Good place to try out !
